Practice is a very personal matter. Every musician I know has a different approach to practicing, and every teacher I know has different recommendations. I personally tend to be lazy about practice, and rarely force myself to do anything, instead doing whatever I feel like. I certainly have no intention of telling you the right way to practice, but I will try to talk about some techniques and habits that I have found helpful, or think I might have found helpful if I had the discipline to follow them.
