Demonstration - Clear Creek Bank

This demonstration follows an 16"x20" plein air oil painting from start to finish, using the big-to-small approach.

The painting was started and mostly completed on a March afternoon, on location at Anderson Park near my home in Colorado. This is the same park where I did the Around The Bend demonstration, although the scene in the latter painting is a little further upstream.  For this demonstration, I am standing on the north bank of Clear Creek, looking east as the creek curves left around a bend. The picture here shows how the scene appeared when I started the painting.
