an Internet jazz sampler

a compilation of
jazz performances
by Internet musicians

An Internet Jazz Sampler is a collection of jazz performances submitted by various Internet musicians. It is available on CD or cassette and contains over seventy minutes of music. The recording was originally entitled A rec.music.bluenote Sampler because the idea came from discussions on the Usenet newsgroup rec.music.bluenote, but the name was changed to emphasize the fact that there is no connection whatsoever between this project and Blue Note records. The compilation was produced in 1996 by Marc Sabatella. Special thanks to the contributors, as well as Randall Kennedy, Walter Davis, Piotr Michalowski, and Erik Turkman for their assistance in making this compilation a reality.
